The Barnstormers Theater  "The oldest continuously operating community theater in Pennsylvania..."

Letter from The Barnstormers President and Board.

Dear friends and Fellow Thespians,

Cause of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic our lives are changing daily both economically and socially and we must consider how this will impact us all in the near future and in the long term.

In accordance with the restrictions that Gov. Wolf placed on Delaware County on Monday March 23rd., 2020 and with the safety of all our audience members, volunteers and performers The Barnstormers will be canceling the reminder of its 2019-20 season until May 15th, 2020.  This means that both Bright Star and Young Lincoln will be postponed.

We are planning on re-opening in Mid-May/June with our Youth Theater’s production of Little Mermaid in July/August.

On the positive side, we are in the process of rescheduling those postponed shows to include them in our 2020-21 season.  We will hopefully have our new season schedule out in the near future which will include those postponed show. We are confident that next season’s lineup will inspire and entertain everyone.

The Barnstormer Theater is the oldest continuously operating community theater in the state of Pennsylvania and the 3rd oldest continuously operating community theater in the United States.

The Barnstormers has been bringing the New York Style entertainment to the Delco area for over 109 yrs.  We like most community theater are a totally volunteer organization and rely on its patrons and donations.

Consider donating to The Barnstormers Theatre, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

To quote from the musical Carousel, “At the end of the storm, There's a golden sky …. You’ll never walk alone”. We all need to work together in these times for the good of our region so that we can whether this storm and see that golden sky.

Stay safe and we’ll see everyone soon.
